Club History
The Rotary Club of Shepton Mallet held its inaugural meeting at the Council Hall, Shepton Mallet, on Thursday 3rd June 1948, under the guidance of its mother club, The Rotary Club of Wells.
Rotarian AH Addison, Chairman RIBI District 10 presented the Charter to Club No 7181, dated 9th February, 1949, at the Central Hall, Paul Street on Monday 4th April 1949.

23rd June 1955 Shepton Mallet Inner Wheel received its Charter, President TP Jordan presented the the Inner Wheel with their presidential jewel given by the club.
The First Ladies Festival was held in February 1959 in the Club's 10th aniversary year with President Budd at the helm.
